The fearsome lion is the king of the animal kingdom, and the lamb is the most precious of animals. Where does the lion and the lamb fit in the scriptures? Judah is the ruling tribe of Israel and of David. The Lord is the Root of David. In scriptures the Lion of Judah refers to the Lord. Jerusalem is God's chosen city. Zion is a hill within the holy city of Jerusalem and represents the city itself. The Lion of Judah is also the Lion of Zion, the Lord. The Lord came into this world as the Lamb of God and will return to this world as the Lion. The Lord is both the Lion and the Lamb. The epic Heaven Seven book series examines this and more, like the seven churches of God. As we praise and give glory to the Creator, love and cherish the Lamb, we await the Lion.
